Simple Steps for Using the iMediaSource Online Catalog

  • Sign in by using your personal four-digit client code (provided by iMediasource) and your school's seven-digit phone number (without area code and hyphen) as the password .
  • On the Search Catalog page, enter a title or keyword to find an item or do a search. Clicking on the item title will take you to its full description. A search can be done by Keyword, Title, Title #, Series or Subject.
  • Expand search to select grade level and format type, i.e. DV = DVD, VH = VHS; digital titles : DP = Digital Platform (PowerMediaPlus/EdVideo Online), DU = United Streaming.
  • To reserve a DVD, Video or CD Rom press Pick , choose the desired date, Check Availability first and then press Submit .
  • The Options Menu (bottom of the page) takes you to other choices: Display Bookings; Extend/Renew ; Cancel; Re-Book ; Purchasing Recommendations etc. Extensions can now be made online and reminders about items due back are sent by email. Items that have been reserved in the past can be found and re-booked easily under Re-Book.
  • To view digital titles :
  • DP : click on the title, then the icon PowerMediaPlus. That takes you to EdVideo Online by thirteen/WNET. Press Play to view a short segment or download to your local computer to show a longer program.
  • DU : click on the title, then on the United Streaming icon. A first time sign up is required. Under NEW USERS enter your school's passcode - contact your school librarian or iMediaSource for the passcode - press go and fill in the fields marked in yellow. You will be asked to create a user name (at least 6 digits) and a password , which you will use for future log ins.
  • For Royalty Free Music go to Soundzabound on the Options Menu .
